Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Face Value (“Face Value,” “we,” “us”) for the Face Value website, apps, alerts and calendar feeds (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What Face Value is, and isn't

• Face Value is an alert service. We track announced ticket sales (presales, fan registrations and general on-sales) and tell you when they're about to start.
• We don't sell tickets, hold tickets, or take part in any purchase. Tickets are sold by official sellers such as Ticketmaster under their own terms, prices and fees.
• Face Value isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Ticketmaster, any other ticket seller, artist, venue, Spotify, Apple or Google.
• We only link to official sellers. Where we show a resale price, it's for comparison only; we never link to resale or help you buy resale tickets.
• We never share presale codes. When a presale needs a code or sign-up, we tell you where the official one comes from.

Accuracy and alerts

We work hard to be fast and accurate, but sale details come from third parties and change often: times move, sales get added or canceled, and shows sell out. Alerts can be delayed or missed because of things outside our control, like your phone's settings, your network, or an outage at a provider. Always confirm details with the official seller. We aren't responsible for a missed sale, a ticket you couldn't get, or a price you paid.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
• Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• One person per account. Don't create accounts in bulk or by automated means.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app or on the website.

Plans and payment

Face Value is free during early access. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you before anything is charged, and you won't be charged unless you choose a plan. Paid plans will be described at checkout, including the price, billing period, any free trial and how to cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Purchases through the App Store or Google Play follow Apple's or Google's billing and refund rules. Unless the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• Scrape, crawl, copy, resell or republish Face Value's data, alerts or sale information, or use them to build a competing product, dataset or resale tool.
• Use the Service to buy tickets in bulk, run bots, or break any seller's purchase limits or terms.
• Share, request or post presale codes through the Service.
• Access the Service by automated means, overload it, probe it for weaknesses, or get around its limits or security.
• Misuse invite links (for example, spam) or impersonate anyone.
• Break the law or anyone's rights.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Connected services

If you connect Spotify, Apple, Google or a calendar, your use of those services is also governed by their terms. We use them only as described in our Privacy Policy. Ticketing information and links remain the property of their owners.

Our content

The Service, including its design, software, text, alerts and the way we compile sale information, belongs to Face Value and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the Service for your own non-commercial use. Artist names, images and trademarks belong to their owners.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

Changes and ending the Service

We may change, pause or stop parts of the Service. We may update these terms; we'll change the date above, and for important changes we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any alert will arrive on time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Face Value won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost tickets, lost opportunities, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Indemnity

If you misuse the Service or break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere. Before filing any claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.

General

If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them as part of a merger or sale of the business. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
